Call or Just Walk In
Walk-ins Monday to Friday 9:00 to 5:00, Saturday 10:00 to 2:00. A quick call first is worth it if your situation is unusual, so you bring the right paperwork the first time.

Louisiana licenses Public Tag Agents to process most of the motor vehicle work the Office of Motor Vehicles handles. That means titles, registrations, plates and the notary work that goes with them can be done at our counter in Covington rather than at a state office. Driver’s licenses and State ID cards are not available here yet — we are approved and expect to begin around November 2026. Road tests and written knowledge tests are administered by the state and always will be. If you are not sure which category your errand falls into, call us before you drive over and we will tell you in under a minute.

No, and the difference works in your favor. We are a licensed Louisiana Public Tag Agent, authorized by the Office of Motor Vehicles to process most of the same transactions. You get the same result without the state office wait.
Not yet. We are approved for driver’s license work and expect to begin around November 2026, which will cover renewals, REAL ID upgrades, lost or duplicate licenses, first-time issuance and State ID cards. Until then, licenses and State IDs go to the state office. Titles, registrations, plates and notary work we handle today.
Driver’s licenses and State ID cards until our rollout is complete, and road tests and written knowledge tests, which the state administers. Beyond that, if it involves a title, a registration, a plate or a notary, call us before assuming you need the state office.
No. Walk-ins Monday to Friday 9:00 to 5:00, Saturday 10:00 to 2:00. Appointments are available if you would rather not wait, and they help if your transaction is complicated.
Yes. We handle transfers from a deceased owner into the new owner’s name, and we can notarize the small succession documents during the same visit rather than sending you to a separate notary.
All three. Mobile homes with or without land, vehicles twenty-five years and older, and vehicles coming in from another state. If you have just moved to Louisiana, you have thirty days to register.
Most people are in and out in a single visit:

We calculate the taxes and fees, submit the transaction, and hand you your plate, sticker or paperwork before you go.

We review the title, bill of sale, identification and insurance before anything is filed, so a missing signature does not cost you a second trip.
Tittle Authority offers so many different services. I have gone there several times since they opened. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable they treat you like you’re part of their family.
Service was fast and friendly! Outstanding people Loved it!

This was an amazing experience for me! Friendly helpful and it was great to hand over all documents & he got me all situated! Handed me a paper and said you don’t need it & tossed it. Normally when I buy a car I keep all the papers & here’s this man simplifying what I didn’t need any longer now that I paid him a visit! Great people!
